beef and broccoli noodles

300g broccoli
250g egg noodles
2tbsp sunflower oil
2 cloves garlic, finly sliced
1 chilli, finely chopped
200g rump steak, finely sliced
juice of 1 lemon
1tbsp fish sauce
2tbsp dark soy sauce
125ml water

Cook the noodles as directed, then drain, refresh in some cold water, and toss in a little oil to stop them sticking.

In a wok, stir fry the beef, garlic and chilli for two minutes.  Remove the beef from the pan, and set aside.

Cut the broccoli into florets, trimming the stems into 2cms batons. Add the broccoli, lemon juice, fish sauce, soy sauce and water to the wok.  Cover and cook until the broccoli is tender (6-7 minutes, I'd say).

Return the beef to the wok, add the noodles, and toss all together.  Warm through, and serve.

I would sprinkle some coriander and finely chopped spring onions over this when it's been served.

@yummymummuy: it certainly does! A splash of fish sauce can really liven up a meat dish.
