roast shallots, leeks and garlic

side dish or supper, this looks very nice

6 shallots
2 leeks
4 garlic cloves
olive oil
salt and pepper

cut leeks lengthways to the core and rinse under running water while fanning them. Top and tail the leeks, keeping the white part whole.

take the outer leaves off the shallots and garlic cloves, and place them in a roasting tin with the leeks.

drizzle with olive oil, season and put in the oven at gas 6 / 200C for 25 minutes, stirring part way through.

if desired, melt some cheese over the top
