Too many cookbooks, too little time!

I live in Buckinghamshire with Rik who likes eating and would like to enjoy cooking but gets into too much of a flap about it causing stress for both of us. So usually I cook. I've been collecting recipes and recipe books since my early twenties and have been cooking since mum taught me how when I was first big enough to rub flour and butter together.

I keep promising myself that I will make at least one previously untried recipe from my cookbooks, bits of paper, notes on computer, etc each week. Sometimes I do, other times I stick to favourites like Dexter stew - mmmm.....

Still the cookbooks are good to read and make a change from reading text books (finally got my degree, one exam to go for Honours).
