rating:8oz/200g Self Raising Flour
pinch salt
1/4 teaspoon mixed spice
2oz/50g margarine or butter
2oz/50g lard
3oz/75g sultanas
1 egg
a little milk
Sieve together the flour, salt and spice.
Rub in the fat.
Add the sugar and sultanas and mix with the egg to a firm dough using a
little milk if required.
Roll out and cut into circles about 1/4" (5mm) thick.
Cook on a griddle and sprinkle with caster sugar
